About

Splitting a bill shouldn't need an app.

Every group dinner ends the same way: someone pulls out a calculator, someone insists they only had the salad, and someone quietly overpays to make it stop. Expense apps fix this — by making everyone create an account, install something, and connect a bank.

EsyBill takes the opposite approach. One page to enter the total and the names, one link to share. The entire bill is encoded into the URL — there's no server holding your data, no sign-up wall, and nothing to install. Open the link on any phone and you see exactly what you owe.

It's built to be the fastest path from "the check arrived" to "everyone knows their share."

Frequently asked.

Do my friends need an account?

No. Nobody does — not even you. Open the site, create a bill, share the link. That is the entire product.

Where is my bill stored?

Inside the link itself. The bill is encoded directly into the URL, so there is no database and nothing leaves your device. Your recent bills are also kept in your browser for convenience.

What happens with amounts that do not divide evenly?

EsyBill works in whole cents. If a total cannot split perfectly, the leftover cents are spread one each across the first few people — so the shares always add up to the exact total.

Does it handle payments?

No — and that is deliberate. EsyBill tells everyone exactly what they owe; you settle up however you already do, whether that is cash, UPI, Venmo, or a bank transfer.

Is it really free?

Yes. There are no servers to pay for, so there is nothing to charge you for.

Your first bill takes about twenty seconds.
